Barracuta Finds Japan

Our natural go-to, Baracuta has teamed up with a bunch of Japanese houses for a redux of its classic G9. Yes, Yes, the jacket worn by Steve McQueen, Sinatra and Elvis is still relevant as hell and this latest colab proves it all. I think the black tonal, tartan number is called the “Black Watch” but don’t quote us on that. Available now for Spring/Summer.

Fila Retro Terry Robe
Hey! Wanna look “The Business?” Drop their jaws at the gym with this painfully retro robe from Fila. Designed like a boxer’s robe or something Bjorn would don around the pool, the Fila robe is most remembered as per by Tamer Hassan in the 2005 film, The Business. It might even come with a red belt option but don’t quote us on that.

Adidas AC Norwegian Gloves
It’s a NEW YEAR! Well, almost. Regardless, what better way to start off 2014 than with toasty fingers. These little pocket gloves aptly called the AC Norwegians, come by way of the mighty Adidas. Done up in royal blue and a rather “wintery” pattern, it’s the final touch for that perfectly cold Saturday afternoon.

Paul Smith for Holt Renfrew - Movember Mittens

Yes sometimes even we get invited to nice things. What a time we had at the launch of Holt Renfrew’s collaboration with Paul Smith over the popular charity, Movember.

The British style genius has teamed up with Holts on an exclusive and limited $50 wool mit that will see all proceeds going to various mens health causes.

The party was a total blast. They managed to fit a serious amount of stimuli in a rather limited amount of space and time. Food, drink, music, fashion, media, a guy drawing e- portraits on a Samsung phone, a straight blade shaving station, a video feed from Paul Smith himself, and all kinds of hip moustachioids strutting around, wiggling their push brooms. It was a pretty perfect way to cap a Friday and get a nice buzz on for the train ride home. Thank you Holts…

The concept is a no brainer. Stop by Holt Renfrew and throw some retail coin at a good cause. Available now.

Dehen for Woodlands Cardigan

Jesus! it’s like all I’m finding is Spring Summer 2014 for crying out loud. It’s October! Anyway, It’s nice to see some new knits out there considering winter hasn’t even officially come.

Dehen and Woodlands get it right with this chunky college striped cardi. Proper Clobber is always on board with a shawl collar and the wooden buttons remind us these Portland masters are well… masters.

Quality matters. These are limited so get on it now. Available through Woodlands.

Soul Jazz Reggae 45 Sound System - A Visual History of Jamaican Reggae 1959-1979
Possibly the most authoritative source in academic reissue culture, Soul Jazz has just released this expansive, 500 page picture book celebrating 20 years of Reggae 45 label art.
There is little debate over the impotance of the Reggae 45. Even more so than the full length album, the 45 was the benchmark of Jamaican soundsystems and served to deliver “the word” to just about every corner of the globe. What’s more, it was these very singles and their labels that determined a DJs worth and credibility.
Curated by Steve Barrow (Blood and Fire Records) and Stuart Baker (Soul Jazz Records), the book is so much more than just pictures. Ample text has been spilled on these pages, giving an indepth history of one of the hippest, coolest and righteous scenes the world has ever known.

Barbour X Norton & Sons ‘Flounder’ Crew Knit

In my opinion it don’t get much more Bri’ish than a collab between Barbour and Norton & Sons. The former, a heritage outdoor staple which sees alot of action on this site. In a similar spirit, Norton & Sons have been tailoring on Savile Row since 1821.

With that, the two have joined up to create what can only be discribed as the perfect fishing jumper. Made in England from 100% pure new wool, and modelled after Barbour’s famed Guernsey jumpers, the hefty crew knit looks about as reliable as its creators.

Available at END.
